THIS IS THE ONE WHERE GRAVITY MAN PERFORMS A MIRACLE

Gravity Man one day walking minding his weight of the world when suddenly thoonk everything ahead of him is gone. Gravity Man knows this is not good but it gives him a great feeling it is mystery this great feeling of unknowing. Gravity Man until that feeling had felt like he knew where everything belonged. suddenly how everything now could thoonk just like that. be gone.

next day newspapers call it sinkhole. with a word sink Gravity Man and all his great feeling. come sunday at sermon the pastor names mystery after mystery. how for a long time say all history it was miracle and now suddenly with a word it is less. yes thinks Gravity Man. without miracle there is less mystery to mystery. and a whole less sinkhole to confess.

THIS IS THE ONE WHERE GRAVITY MAN DESCENDS INTO VERTIGO

if Gravity Man holds in his chest all of gravity then
what holds Gravity Man this is the question
that villainizes Gravity Man all his days
some days are spent entirely
like today Gravity Man has gone nowhere
what does this mean exactly
there is nowhere in the world
that holds Gravity Man
Gravity Man thinks
this is a terrible thing to think
Gravity Man thinks
the terror of the think sweeps him off his feet
Gravity Man and his thoughts all in a heap
when he rouses from the floor
he holds himself there
the way only Gravity Man knows
how to hold Gravity Man

THIS IS THE ONE WHERE GRAVITY MAN EASES HIS BURDEN

the weight of the world
it goes without saying
is far too weighty a burden
for any one man to bear.

Gravity Man watches on his television
a show called The World’s Strongest Man
and even the strongest man on his television
could lift no more than a very large rock.

surely this was nothing
compared with the weight of the world.
still Gravity Man had to admit
it was a very large rock indeed.

even thinking of his younger days
Gravity Man has his doubts.
Gravity Man considers
again the weight of the world

in his chest and winces.
he exhales deeply.
imagines wisps of world-weight
float away into the air.

again he exhales deeply.
if he can only focus
on each inhale
and world-deep exhale

it is almost as if he can bear it.
yes Gravity Man thinks
in his deepest moments
when he drinks so deeply of air

he can almost feel
as if there is no weight
to the world nearly
no weight to the world at all.
